PP and TPE two-shot tooling

This project combines PP and TPE in a two-color injection mold. For a new design, the selected resin grades, material interface, wall thickness and demolding requirements must be reviewed together. The final molding sequence and transfer arrangement should be matched to the product geometry and the available two-component injection machine.

Machine and runner compatibility

Both materials in this mold use a one-tip hot runner to cold runner arrangement. Before ordering a similar tool, provide the machine specification sheet so the mold dimensions, mounting, shot capacity and transfer clearance can be reviewed. The listed machine and 1+1 cavity configuration apply to this project; a different machine or cavity count requires a separate assessment.

Send your 3D part drawing or sample, product dimensions, PP and TPE grades, target annual volume and intended injection machine. Identify the areas to be molded in each material and any required surface finish, color or acceptance criteria.
