Swing Lid Design

The swing lid must rotate smoothly and return naturally to its balanced position after use.

During mould development, the relationship between the swing lid and lid support structure must be accurately controlled. Uneven shrinkage or deformation may affect the movement of the finished lid.

Important quality requirements include:

4.Minimal flash around functional areas

5.Stable dimensions after cooling

Gate & Appearance Control

Because the upper surface of the dustbin lid is a visible area, the gate position should avoid affecting the appearance of the finished product.

The injection system can therefore be arranged from the reverse side according to the actual product and mould structure.

Mould flow analysis can also be used during development to evaluate filling balance, weld lines, shrinkage and potential deformation before mould manufacturing.

Balanced Ejection System

The lid support contains a large open center area, making balanced ejection particularly important.

A combination of stripper plate and ejector pins can be used to distribute the ejection force more evenly and reduce the risk of product deformation.

For suitable mould structures, synchronized ejection mechanisms can also be applied to improve release stability.

Mould Durability

Wear-resistant treatment can be applied to moving and contact components according to the mould structure and production requirements.

For projects requiring higher production life, suitable hardened tool steels such as H13 can be selected for core and cavity components according to customer specifications.

A hot runner system can also be incorporated to improve material utilization and support stable production.
