Two Color Foldable Step Stool Injection Mould

Focare Mould develops injection moulds for plastic foldable step stools used in kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and other household applications. This project combines a compact folding structure with PP and TPE components to provide strength, portability and anti-slip performance.

PP + TPE Two Color Top

The top of the stool can be produced by two color injection moulding with PP + TPE. PP provides the rigid supporting structure, while the soft TPE area creates an anti-slip surface for safer stepping.

Compared with assembling a separate anti-slip pad, two color moulding integrates the materials directly during production and provides a cleaner finished appearance.

Complete Foldable Stool Mould Solution

The complete foldable stool consists of approximately nine components, including six side parts, two top parts and anti-slip feet.

In this project, these components can be produced with four moulds:

1.Two moulds for the six side components

2.One mould for the top components

3.One mould for the TPE anti-slip feet

This mould arrangement helps simplify production while covering the complete stool assembly.

Folding Structure & Safety

The folding mechanism is designed for easy opening, closing and compact storage. A supporting structure helps prevent the stool from folding inward during use.

The rounded corners, stable supporting surfaces and anti-slip TPE areas are important considerations during both product and mould development.

For foldable products, dimensional accuracy between individual components is especially important because the parts must assemble and move correctly after moulding.
