Double Color Car Light Plastic Injection Mould

In recent years, more and more requirements have been placed on plastic products with the improvement of the quality of life, so double color injection mould has become more and more important. Two-color injection mould is one of the more popular advanced injection mould methods, which provides a new design possibility for product manufacturing. Most of the car light components are made of injection molded plastic. Car lights aren't just functional, they are often the first design feature that catches the eye of a potential buyer, unlike the metal and glass version of the past, car lamps are made of durable plastic today that can be creatively molded into a multitude of shapes.

Car lights are generally composed of base and lamp housing ,the material of the base is usually a thermosetting material - BMC (bulk molding compound), and the lamp housing can be processed from PMMA, PP, ABS and other materials, they used to come out with double color or even triple.

In the production process of double color car lights, it should be particularly noted that the center distance between the two screws of the two-color injection molding machine should be corresponded to the center distance of the double color molds. The plastic screw barrel is the heart component of the injection molding machine, and is responsible for the functions of conveying, melting, mixing, and metering of plastic raw materials, so the plastic screw is highly related to the quality of the molded car lamps.

The two-color mold technology uses multiple materials for injection molding production, and combines the characteristics of different materials during the molding process to assemble or other suitable bonding methods to improve product functionality and aesthetics. Automotive lights in two-color molds are an important application area.

The features of double color car lights molds are as below:

1. The moving side of double color molds will be rotated by rotary table of double color injection machine.  Hence, car lights shall be fixed on moving mold well to avoid being stuck in cavity side.

2. The fixing position after mold rotation shall be very precise, hence, the rotary table of injection machine shall be driven with servo motor instead of hydraulic motor.

3. Injecting stroke shall be designed as shorter as possible in order to enhance the strength of ejecting rod.
